Step 5: Only after you have completely expelled all the air in your body, then, breathe in air through your nose only (keep your mouth shut), concentrating on pushing the air down into your abdomen. You should feel your abdomen moving outward as you breathe air in. If you feel your chest pushing out instead, try again — you are not using your abdomen. Count in your mind the time it takes to inhale to fully fill your abdomen with air. It should take three to four counts in the early stages. (Fig. 7)
